Traveling While Black is more than history — it’s about community.

Immerse yourself inthe long history of restriction of movement for black Americans and the creation of safe spaces for travelers.

In the award-winning cinematic VR film Traveling While Black directed by Roger Ross Williams, you’ll be transported to the historic Ben’s Chili Bowl and join patrons as they share and reflect on their experiences. Confronting the way we understand and talk about race in America, this immersive documentary highlights the urgent need to facilitate a dialogue about the challenges minority travelers still face today.

Nominated for a 2019 Primetime Emmy Award.
